A Storytelling and visual Arts Programme for Community Groups and Participants of All Ages and Abilities

What is MythMaps?

MythMaps combines folklore, performance and visual arts to support participants of all ages and abilities to explore their connections to their local environment and cultural heritage.

Sessions will explore global mythology, personal stories, analogue photography and mapping techniques from around the world.

Participants will create their own visual arts pieces to be displayed at a storytelling showcase combining their stories.

Programme Structure

MythMaps is a flexible programme that can run for 5 to 10 weeks.

Sessions can last between 45 minutes and 2 hours depending on the groups needs and abilities. 

This programme is:

  • Delivered by an experienced storyteller-facilitator

  • Suitable for smaller or larger groups

  • Adaptable to participants ages 8 and upwards.
